For the second time in as many days, the Lions have added a veteran offensive lineman.
After adding Leroy Harris yesterday, the Lions have now agreed to a deal with Jake Scott, according to a tweet from his agent.
Scott’s started 128 games in nine NFL seasons, with the Colts, Titans and Eagles.
The fact they’ve brought in two experienced interior linemen this week should tell you something about their feelings about their rebuilt line. The Lions lost both starting tackles (Jeff Backus to retirement, Gosder Cherilus to free agency) and released guard Stephen Peterman, triggering a shuffle that’s apparently not close to being settled.
