On Monday’s edition of Pro Football Talk on NBCSN, we unveiled the Lions’ Mt. Rushmore.
To little surprise, running back Barry Sanders was the favorite of PFT Planet.
In fact, he technically appeared on 104 percent of the ballots, which means that plenty of you voted for fewer than four Lions. Which given the team’s recent history is understandable.
The PFT foursome consisted of Sanders, Calvin Johnson, Bobby Layne, and Alex Karras.
PFT Planet replaced Karras with Night Train Lane.
Johnson appeared on 64 percent of the ballots. Lane showed up on 52 percent. Layne appeared on 44 percent -- six points less than the 50-year curse Layne put on the Lions when the franchise traded him.
