When veteran fullback Vonta Leach found himself a belated former member of the Ravens, his first order of business was to try to get back to Houston.
Apparently, the Texans have interest in that.
Agent Ralph Vitolo tells FOX 26 in Houston that the Texans would like to add Leach, who spent five seasons in Houston before going to Baltimore for the last two.
“We just talked and [G.M. Rick Smith] mentioned that he definitely had an interest in Vonta,” Vitolo said. “He said that it would be beneficial for all of us if we could get him back down there. It’s just a matter of how we can do it money-wise and when can we do it and if we can do it?
“We all agree that we want him back there, but how do we do it?”
Complicating matter for the Texans is the fact that Houston signed fullback Greg Jones earlier this year.
Leach has visited the Dolphins. Vitolo said that other interested teams include the Giants, Chiefs, and Browns.
