After the release of former fifth-round draft pick Austen Lane earlier on Thursday, the Jacksonville Jaguars added a pair of players to their roster including another punter.
Jacksonville signed punter Ken Parrish and cornerback Lionel Smith after releasing Lane and defensive back Trey Wilson.
Parrish has spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons since entering the league in 2008 but hasn’t punted in an NFL game. With last year’s third-round pick Bryan Anger entrenched as the Jaguars starter, Parrish is likely just a camp leg for Jacksonville.
Smith spent time last season with the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys after being undrafted out of Texas A&M.
