Romo gets a few throws in as minicamp ends

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo didn’t do much during minicamp, but he did come back to throw a few passes Thursday afternoon, a positive sign that he’ll be fine by the start of training camp.

Romo watched most of OTAs after surgery to remove a cyst in his back.

But according to Todd Archer of, Romo threw to wide receivers Miles Austin and Dez Bryant while the rest of the roster was doing special teams drills.

“We feel good about him going into camp and being ready to go,” Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said of Romo.

While he’s been around and watching, Romo’s missed the on-field work at a time when the Cowboys are changing offensive coordinators. While that’s good for backup Kyle Orton, it won’t help Romo get used to all the new responsibilities he’ll have this season.
