PFT Live: Desmond Bishop, Bengals talk with Joe Reedy

Linebacker Desmond Bishop has talked a bit about his reasons for signing with the Vikings following his release from the Packers this offseason and we’ll delve deeper into the topic when Bishop is a guest on Tuesday’s edition of PFT Live.

Bishop will talk to Mike Florio about what made the Vikings stand out ahead of the other teams interested in securing Bishop’s services and how the transition will go from playing inside in a 3-4 with the Packers to being in the middle of a 4-3 in Minnesota. We’ve already heard that Bishop’s looking forward to facing Aaron Rodgers, but we’ll also see if there are other Packers that Bishop’s excited about hitting when the teams meet up next season.

Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer will also be on hand to talk about the Bengals’ Mt. Rushmore, which will be unveiled on Tuesday afternoon. Paul Brown started the franchise, which would seem to make him a strong candidate to be one of the faces of the franchise but we’ll see what Reedy thinks during the show.

You can watch it all live at noon ET.

  1. can we please get an all Desmond Bishop, all the time page set up? He is the most exciting mediocre linebacker to come along in years

  2. And on the 7th day the lord squatted over the west edge of WI (God’s Country) and what came out was the Sioux word for dung heap, Minnysoda.

  3. Ted Thompson really punked the Vikings big time on this one. Bishop is a cripple, which is the only conceivable reason why the Packers didn’t even offer him a league minimum deal.

Naturally the Vikes overpaid again, what with him being a former Packer and all…

  4. Yeah, they overpaid Firestarter. Veteran minimum of 850K-ish? Typical low information voter. You guys have the worst medical staff in the NFL so its no surprise you set the bar so low.

  5. @firestarter,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it’s starting to come clear why Packer players are happy to move to border state rival.

  6. I like the signing, it’s a low risk deal on the viks side. It’s not like they dropped that much money on him and its only a 1 year deal

  7. the only reason the Packers cut him is because they had too many guys at inside linebacker and for whatever reason (probably his acceptance of constant pay cuts and his high draft status) they keep AJ Hawk. good luck with that packer fans … If believing he’s a cripple gets u to sleep at night then god bless ya.
