Arrested on Friday, Ernest Wallace learned on Saturday that he won’t immediately be released from custody.

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Wallace has been denied bail pending further proceedings.

He surrendered without incident on Friday at a Miramar, Florida police station. He soon will be extradited to Massachusetts, where he will be charged with serving as an accessory after the fact in the murder of Odin Lloyd.

“It’s his intention to waive rendition proceedings and to return to Massachusetts,” Meier said. “He will be brought before a judge in Massachusetts and formally arraigned on the single charge.”

Wallace and Aaron Hernandez currently are jailed without the possibility of bail. Carlos Ortiz is jailed on $1.5 million bond.
