  1. The Buffalo Bills Training Camp is going to be super packed this year. The Town of Pittsford and St. John Fisher better prepare early this season. I can’t wait! Go Bills!!

  2. A week earlier for rookies gives coaches a lot of hands on time. Quite possibly, there are a few vets that show up early to assist with the rookies.

  3. I think it’s time for the NFL to start ALL training camps on the same day. My understanding is that now, teams can open 2 weeks before their first game

That’s an advantage for teams that play not only in the Hall of Fame Game, but on that Thursday of preseason Week 1. Some teams don’t have their first game in Week 1 until Sunday or even Monday, so that means they start their camp up to a full 4 days after teams that have the advantage of having their first game on Thursday night.

The quicker a team opens camp, the quicker their players learn the playbook, bond with teammates, get to work on their weaknesses, get their bodies in shape (in case they report out of shape), etc.

It just seems like an advantage for teams to open their camps 4 days before other teams.
