As MetLife Stadium gets ready to host Super Bowl XLVIII, the venue has gotten a new playing surface.

Last Wednesday, the MetLife Stadium Instagram account posted a photo showing the first piece of turf being placed in the venue. By Monday, it was completely in place.
Hopefully, it will be visible for most if not all of the championship game to be played there in, you know, early February.
There’s no word on what happened with the old field. If Aaron Hernandez jerseys are getting four figures on eBay, the patch on which the butt fumble occurred could be worth a hell of a lot more than that.
