One of the top unsigned veteran safeties is reportedly considering four teams.

While Kerry Rhodes wouldn’t name those clubs, the ex-Cardinal and ex-Jet told Solomon Crenshaw Jr. of Al.com Thursday that he intends to play in 2013.

“It’s in the works,” Rhodes said, per Al.com."I can’t talk about it in depth but there’s a good four teams that I’m looking at. There are ongoing discussions. I’m trying to see which one will be the best fit for me. You will see me, though.”

According to Al.com, Rhodes said news of a signing could occur in about a week, though the safety seemed to indicate that the timetable was fluid. Rhodes, an Alabama native, is holding a pair of fitness-related events in Birmingham in the coming days.

Rhodes, 30, started 15 games and intercepted four passes for Arizona in 2013. He has 23 career interceptions.

Another well-regarded free agent safety, Quintin Mikell, has reportedly drawn some interest from Carolina.
