If you’re looking for a babysitter, former NFL linebacker Monty Ray Grow probably isn’t the first guy you should call.
Grow, who played for the Chiefs and Jaguars in the 1990s, was arrested after authorities said he left a 3-year-old girl alone in a car while he went into a strip club in Clearwater, Florida. He was charged with child abuse and released on $5,000 bail.
Police say Grow went into the Diamond Dolls strip club and left the kid in the car. Police have not said what Grow’s relationship with the girl was.
Grow admitted leaving the child unattended, police say. The girl was not injured and her mother and grandparents arrived to collect her.
