Maybe the Pouncey twins aren’t so identical, after all.
A day after Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey apologized for wearing a “Free Hernandez” hat at their joint birthday party, Dolphins center Mike Pouncey has said nothing.
A Dolphins spokesman tells PFT that the team doesn’t know whether Mike Pouncey will be issuing his own apology, but that Mike Pouncey undoubtedly will be asked about the situation by the media when the Dolphins convene for training camp in only five days.
One league source has suggested that Maurkice’s apology possibly was driven by the organization for which he plays. The source also floated the possibility that Maurkice’s apology encompassed both players.
Given Maurkice’s use of “I” and “my,” however, that would apply only if the Pounceys were not only identical twins, but also conjoined.
