The PFT editorial staff has pegged the Giants 13th among NFL teams entering training camp. The Giants also check in seventh among NFC clubs.

Can the Giants outperform these expectations? Of course they can, and they’ve shown a knack for doing as much. Giants fans dissatisfied with their club’s standing in our rankings simply have to think back to the winters of 2008 and 2012 and smile. Yes, they were doubting the Giants then too, weren’t they?

So tell us, then -- what’s the deal with the Giants failing to make the playoffs last season and in three of the last four years? I suppose it’s just a function of life in a tough division and in a league where five-eighths of the teams don’t qualify for the postseason. But all the same, it doesn’t quite compute.

Are the Giants deserving of the No. 13 spot in our power rankings? Share your thoughts below.
