Greg Schiano says Darrelle Revis likely at practice when camp starts

When the Buccaneers hold their first training camp practice on Thursday, July 25, Greg Schiano anticipates cornerback Darrelle Revis will be on the field, the Buccaneers’ head coach said today, per the club’s official Twitter feed.

However, it’s important to note that the Buccaneers used the term “in some capacity” when describing Schiano’s characterization of Revis’ potential participation.

The Buccaneers and Revis figure to be prudent with regard to his practice participation, considering the four-time Pro Bowl cornerback is coming off an ACL tear that ended his final season with the Jets. However, it’s a positive that Schiano is saying Revis figures to be present for practice.

Even if Revis gets in some work off to the side in-uniform as he did at minicamp, that beats staying inside and rehabilitating.

For mid-July, this is a silver lining.
