Last week, the NFL suspended Colts tight end Weslye Saunders eight games. This week, the Colts decided to get rid of Saunders for the other eight.

The Colts have announced that Saunders has been waived. He played in 11 games for the Colts last season, starting four times and catching two passes.

The team filled his roster spot by signing linebacker Daniel Adongo (pictured). He’s a six-five, 257-pound Kenyan national. Adongo most recently played for the Southern Kings of Super 15 Rugby.

He has extensive rugby experience, but no apparent football experience.

Saunders, with an eight-game suspension looming for his second violation of the PED policy, possibly will have no future football experience, at least not in the NFL.
