Pugh gets 95.4 percent guarantee

Giants offensive lineman Justin Pugh didn’t get a fully-guaranteed rookie deal.  But he got the next best thing, with 95.4 percent of the contract guaranteed for skill, injury, and salary cap.

Per a source with knowledge of the details, Pugh has a non-guaranteed 2016 roster bonus of $385,770, due early in the league year.  The rest of the contract is fully guaranteed.

That’s a higher percentage than was received by last year’s 19th overall pick, Bears linebacker Shea McClellin.  McClellin has a $741,227 non-guaranteed roster bonus in 2015, which makes his deal 91 percent guaranteed.

  1. Whatever. He’s not getting cut no matter. Might as well just guarantee the entire thing. A stupid point to bargain over.

  2. Welcome to the Giants, big guy. Are you ready to take Diehl’s job, I hope so!

Pugh is going to be a very good offensive tackle, I seen him play a lot and I was very impressed. The right side of the Giants O-line will be a very good one.

NY Giants will be the 2014 Super Bowl Champions, mark it down.

  3. How they come up with that percentage? Nickel and dime owners, that’s how.
