The Philadelphia Eagles have commenced their training-camp practices, and the top two quarterbacks continue to split first-team reps.
Per Sal Paolantonio, Mike Vick got the first shot with the first team. Nick Foles took the second-team reps. And rookie Matt Barkley brought up the rear, with the third-team reps.
According to multiple reports, however, Foles eventually got a chance with the first team. Foles’ chances included a long throw to receiver DeSean Jackson, who made what is being described on Twitter as a “circus” catch.
And so it will continue until coach Chip Kelly names a starter. He’s said that will happen when a starter emerges.
The longer that isn’t Mike Vick, the less likely it ever will be.
