The Buccaneers have signed veteran safety Troy Nolan, the club said Monday.

In a corresponding roster move, the Bucs waived first-year offensive guard Jeff Olson, whom the club added on Saturday. The Buccaneers also removed third-year linebacker Markus White from the active / physically unable to perform list, which means he’s cleared to begin practicing.

Nolan (6-2, 202) appeared in eight regular-season games in 2012: four with Houston, three with Miami and one with Chicago.

A seventh-round pick of the Texans in 2009, the 26-year-old Nolan has recorded 93 tackles and intercepted three passes in 38 regular-season games (seven starts).
