The Patriots churned the bottom of their roster, signing four guys and cutting one.

More importantly, head coach Bill Belichick said wide receiver Julian Edelman had been cleared to return to work from the PUP list, adding some depth at a position of great turnover this offseason.

The team announced that they added wide receivers Johnathan Haggerty and Lavasier Tuinei, and defensive linemen Travis Chappelear and Scott Vallone.

They also released rookie defensive back Stephon Morris.

Vallone adds yet another Rutgers guy to the roster, as Bill Belichick continues to collect his buddy Greg Schiano’s old players.

Otherwise, those are names you’ll probably hear next when the Patriots make some cuts.
