When the Patriots drafted wide receiver Taylor Price in the third round of the 2010 draft, he came with the tag of being a great athlete that would need to develop into being a great professional wideout.

It’s hard to do that when you can’t get on the field and, for the second straight season, it doesn’t look like Price is going to be able to do that. The Jaguars announced that Price was waived/injured on Monday after missing all of training camp with a foot injury. Price had the same thing happen to him last year and reverted to injured reserve after passing through waivers unclaimed.

Given Price’s limited accomplishments on the pro level -- five catches in six games for the Patriots, who cut him near the end of the 2011 season, and Jaguars -- it’s hard to see any team claiming him when he hasn’t played in more than a year. And that may mean that it is the end of the line for a player who came into the league with a lot of promise that has gone unfulfilled.

The Jaguars also waived/injured offensive lineman Stephane Milhim, leaving them with 88 players on their roster.
