Joe McKnight talks for three minutes, says nothing

McKnight

Bill Belichick would be proud of Joe McKnight. The Jets running back has mastered at a relatively young age the ability to talk to reporters while saying nothing at all.

In a three-minute session with reporters after Sunday’s practice, McKnight repeatedly declined to answer a variety of questions, saying “I’m not getting into that right now.”

The topics focused on McKnight’s recent concussion and his recent arrest. Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News has the transcript.

It continued until someone asked McKnight about the ongoing dispute between Time Warner and CBS, which caused McKnight to go off script.

“This guy asking me about Time Warner and CBS right now?” McKnight said to a team P.R. representative. “You serious?”

McKnight apparently was serious about saying nothing at all of any real meaning or consequence. If that’s how a guy is going to handle a press conference, why even bother to give one?
