In addition to running back Ahmad Bradshaw being activated from the physically unable to perform list this week, the Indianapolis Colts were also able to get linebacker Pat Angerer back as well.

Angerer passed his physical on Tuesday and was activated from the PUP list. Angerer started 16 games for the Colts in 2011 before being relegated to mostly reserve duty last season. Angerer broke his foot in the preseason last year and the injury lingered throughout the season requiring surgery.

With linebackers Justin Hickman and Quinton Spears being waived/injured by the Colts, the return of Angerer will bring some restored depth at the position.

The Colts also signed linebacker Monte Simmons and defensive back Johnny Adams to fill the roster spots vacated by the injuries to Hickman and Spears.

  1. Angerer might do a little better than provide “restored depth.” When healthy, he’s a tackling machine inside – and he projects to start.

  2. The Ravens exposed the Indianapolis Irsays and Luck for what they are. A lucky team that made the playoffs last year. They’re not a playoff team. Can’t compete with the Big Boys.
