Browns rookie outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo is out of the hospital.

Mingo was hospitalized for two nights after suffering a bruised lung in Thursday’s preseason opener against the Lions. The team has said that Mingo was not in serious danger, but he was kept in the hospital out of an abundance of caution.

Although there’s been no official word on how long Mingo will be out of action, the expectation is that the Browns will hold him out of the last two preseason games. Mingo is expected to be ready for the regular season opener.

The Browns took the 6-foot-4, 240-pound Mingo with the sixth overall pick in the draft.
