Terrell Sinkfield’s interesting NFL journey continues.
The Giants reached a deal with Sinkfield -- a name perhaps familiar to draftniks and those who follow the transactions -- on Wednesday.
This marks the fourth NFL club Sinkfield has signed with in about a 3.5-month span since going undrafted out of Northern Iowa. He previously had stints with the Dolphins, Packers and Bills. Buffalo waived him on Monday.
Now, Sinkfield is getting a chance with the Giants, who have some injury issues at wide receiver, as Michael Eisen of Giants.com noted.
The 6-foot, 200-pound Sinkfield made some headlines before the draft with some swift 40-yard dash clockings. While he hasn’t yet found a lasting NFL home, he’s at least done enough to pique the interest of NFL teams. Even if he doesn’t make the roster, landing with the Giants could serve him well, for it appears there are some snaps for the taking. Ideally for Sinkfield, he can stay on the roster for the final two preseason games and get some on-field work for the Giants -- and other teams -- to evaluate.
