Two of the Titans’ key skill-position players came away with injuries in Saturday’s preseason game vs. Atlanta.

Running back Shonn Greene and wide receiver Nate Washington each suffered sprained ankles, the club said Saturday evening. Both players were expected to miss the rest of the contest.

One of the Titans’ starting receivers, Washington had a strong first half against the Falcons, catching four passes for 70 yards, including a seven-yard touchdown from Jake Locker.

Greene, the top backup to Chris Johnson, rushed for 17 yards on five carries.

The Titans’ final preseason game is Thursday at Minnesota. They begin the regular season on Sept. 8 at Pittsburgh.
