The Redskins are holding out hope they can eventually get something out of defensive end Adam Carriker, announcing he’s going on reserve/PUP, which means he’ll miss at least the first six weeks of the season.

He was going to miss some time anyway after having another round of leg surgeries, a result of the torn quadriceps that cost him 14 games last season.

Though he’s had to have three procedures, they’re still hoping the 29-year-old is able to come back at some point.

They also released veteran tackle Jeremy Trueblood, who was signed this offseason, waived/injured linebacker Roddrick Muckelroy and cornerback Ryan Mouton, and waived offensive lineman Jacolby Ashworth with an injury settlement.
