Former Jets running back Joe McKnight is about to get a fresh start, in a totally different environment.
McKnight just tweeted that he was “headed to Green Bay tomorrow,” which leads one to believe he’s signing with the Packers.
There’s a reasonable fit there, since the Packers are short in the backfield after DuJuan Harris’ injury, but have a bigger need for someone with his return skills.
If he’s well, he can help them there, and certainly would be joining a more stable organization.
UPDATE 5:38 p.m. ET: Per multiple reports, McKnight will be getting only a workout from the Packers. For now.
