He’s never played in an NFL regular-season game. Bengals defensive end DeQuin Evans has now been suspended for a total of 12 of them.

The NFL has announced that Evans will not be eligible for the first eight games of the 2013 regular season, due to a violation of the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

He was suspended four games in 2011 for a similar violation. Under league policy, a second offense triggers an eight-game suspension.

Evans currently appears on the depth chart as a fourth-stringer. Coupled with the eight-game suspension, it likely means that Evans will go yet another year without playing in any regular-season games.

At least he’ll get a mention on Hard Knocks. Maybe.
