The Raiders, who are third in the waiver order, were awarded ex-Browns defensive end Brian Sanford and ex-Ravens offensive guard Antoine McClain on Sunday.

Sanford, 25, appeared in six games as a reserve for the Browns from 2010 through 2012. The Browns dealt him to Seattle in August for guard John Moffitt, but the trade was rescinded after Moffitt failed his physical with Cleveland.

McClain, 23, is a first-year pro from Clemson.

Sanford and McClain take roster spots vacated by quarterback Tyler Wilson and punter Chris Kluwe, whom Oakland parted ways with on Sunday.

In another Raiders transaction, offensive tackle Willie Smith was placed on injured reserve. He was waived/injured on Saturday and went unclaimed.

All of the Raiders’ moves were disclosed in the NFL’s Sunday transactions.
