The Ravens brought back wide receiver Tandon Doss earlier this week to help replace Jacoby Jones after Jones sprained his knee against the Broncos last Thursday night.

On Wednesday, they signed a player who might be able to help them fill in for Jones on special teams. The Ravens announced that running back Shaun Draughn has agreed to a contract with the team. A corresponding move to create room on the roster hasn’t been announced.

Draughn played all 16 games for the Chiefs last season and averaged 23.3 yards on 23 kickoff returns.

“I’m happy to be part of this organization,” Draughn said in the release announcing the move. “It’s basically the same role I had last year with Kansas City.”

Draughn’s addition gives the Ravens three running backs on their 53-man roster. While he gained 233 yards and scored twice on the ground for the Chiefs last season, it’s unlikely that he’ll take any playing time away from Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce unless there’s an injury.
