Roddy White, Julio Jones miss practice on Wednesday

Julio

On Sunday, Falcons receiver Roddy White played despite a high ankle sprain. After the game, he admitted that the previously understated injury would be affecting him for a while.

On Wednesday, it prevented him from practicing.

The bigger surprise is that receiver Julio Jones also didn’t practice. Jones has a knee injury, according to the practice report.

The pair of injuries helps better explains the team’s Tryout Tuesday interest in multiple veteran receivers.

Also missing practice on Wednesday were defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux and tackle Sam Baker, both of whom have knee injuries, too.

Limited in practice with knee injuries were safety Thomas DeCoud, defensive tackle Peria Jerry, and linebacker Sean Weatherspoon. Defensive end Cliff Matthews (neck) and cornerback Asante Samuel (thigh) were also limited.

The 0-1 Falcons host the 1-0 Rams on Sunday.
