Brady’s touchdown pass gives him at least one in 50 straight games

460x

When Patriots quarterback Tom Brady connected with rookie receiver Aaron Dobson to cap the opening drive of Thursday night’s game with a touchdown, Brady doubled the size of a fairly elite club.

Brady has joined Saints quarterback Drew Brees as the only two men in NFL history to throw at least one touchdown pass in at least 50 consecutive games.

Last year, Brees broke the record of 47 set from 1956 through 1960 by Hall of Famer John Unitas, at a time when the passing game wasn’t nearly as developed as it now is. Brees’ mark ended at 54.

Coincidentally, Brady can tie Brees at 54 next month, when Brees and the Saints come to Foxborough.
