Redskins placekicker Kai Forbath is questionable for Sunday’s game at Green Bay with a groin injury, multiple media outlets, including the club’s official Twitter feed, said Friday.
Forbath was not listed on the injury report on Wednesday or Thursday.
Coach Mike Shanahan indicated second-year pro John Potter, whom Washington released on August 26, could be a potential candidate to fill in for Forbath if needed, Shanahan indicated, according to the club’s Twitter feed.
A seventh-round pick of the Bills in 2012, Potter appeared in six games a season ago for Buffalo, kicking off 26 times. However, he’s never attempted a field goal in an NFL preseason, regular-season or postseason game.
The 26-year-old Forbath hit 17-of-18 field goals for Washington in 2012. He missed his lone attempt in Monday’s loss to Philadelphia.
