The Jaguars promoted rookie cornerback Marcus Burley and first-year wide receiver Jeremy Ebert from their practice squad on Saturday, according to the NFL’s official transactions.
With Burley and Ebert joining the roster, the Jaguars waived second-year offensive guard Jacques McClendon and first-year defensive end Chris McCoy.
Burley, 23, appeared in a pair of preseason games for Jacksonville. He was a 33-game starter at Delaware.
The 24-year-old Ebert had five catches in four exhibition games for Jacksonville in 2013, including a touchdown in the final preseason game. The Patriots selected Ebert in the seventh round in 2012.
