Kelly wants players to help get ball in play quickly

Kelly

As Eagles coach Chip Kelly tries to milk even more plays out of his go-go offense, he has a specific request for his players.

Just give the officials the damn ball.

According to Sal Paolantonio of ESPN, Kelly wants his players not to toss the ball away after a play but to hand it to the officials so that the men in black and white can quickly put the ball in place for the next snap.

The goal is to get the next play started within 20.5 seconds of the last play. If they can pull it off against a Chargers team flying cross-country for a 10:00 a.m. PT kickoff after a Monday night game, it could be an Oregon-style outcome on Sunday.
