The initial indications regarding the foot injury suffered by Broncos left tackle Ryan Clady on Sunday against the Giants were positive. Sure, he was spotted with a walking boot after the game, but the widespread word was that he is fine.
Those initial indications have yielded to something not quite as optimistic.
Per a league source, Clady has a Lisfranc sprain. He is expected to miss at least a few weeks.
Clady received a major contract in the offseason after recovering from shoulder surgery. He protects the blind side of the not-so-mobile Peyton Manning.
Chris Clark is listed as the second-string left tackle. Coincidentally, he has a new contract. He’ll now get to earn it.
