Another week, another $100,000 fine imposed on an NFL player.

Last week, Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh became the first player in league history to fork over six figures for something happening on the field during a play. He has been joined by Bucs safety Dashon Goldson.

The league has announced that, in overturning the one-game suspension imposed on Goldson, hearing officer Matt Birk imposed a $100,000 fine against the veteran defensive back.

That’s twice the amount of the fine given to Ed Reed a year ago, when his one-game suspension was overturned by Ted Cottrell.

Birk also upheld the $30,000 fine imposed by the league on Goldson for a hit occurring in Week One on Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland.

Goldson would have lost $264,705 if the suspension had been upheld. As it stands, he has been fined through two games roughly half of one game check.
