The Seahawks won’t have left tackle Russell Okung’s help when they try to beat the Jaguars on Sunday.

Coach Pete Carroll announced Wednesday that Okung’s toe injury will keep him out of the Week Three home contest. That wasn’t unexpected since Carroll said earlier this week that he didn’t think Okung would be well enough to play this week.

Carroll offered no further timetable for Okung’s return because he’s getting another opinion from doctors about how to make his way back from the injury. Paul McQuistan will move from left guard to left tackle against the Jags with James Carpenter replacing McQuistan in the starting lineup.

In other Seahawks injury news, Carroll said defensive end Chris Clemons and cornerback Brandon Browner are both day-to-day with the injuries that have kept them out of the first two games. Carroll added that if Clemons has another good week of practice, it will be hard to keep him from making his 2013 debut.
