Lions may hold Bush out as a precaution

Lions running back Reggie Bush wants to play on Sunday. The Lions may not let him play.

Bush has a knee injury, and the Lions have listed him as questionable. Technically a 50-50 proposition, the scales could tilt toward shutting him down for Week Three.

Per a league source, the Lions may opt to play it safe with Bush. They want him to be available for the long haul, and so they’re inclined to give him a week off to heal before putting him back in harm’s way.

Keep an eye on this one. If he travels to D.C. on Saturday, the decision may not be made until pre-game warmups.
