After scoring on their first possession, the Cardinals’ offense hasn’t tallied any more points against the Saints.

However, the Cardinals’ defense bought their offense a little more time courtesy of a third-quarter interception from safety Tyrann Matheu, who intercepted Drew Brees in the endzone.

This is the second turnover Mathieu has forced in three NFL regular-season games. He forced a fumble recovered in the endzone by teammate Karlos Dansby in the Cardinals’ Week One defeat at St. Louis.

The Cardinals trail 17-7 in the third quarter at New Orleans.
