There are injuries every week in the NFL, and sometimes the broken bones and torn ligaments become a blur.

But Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson had one that’s hard to forget.

According to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, Johnson lost the top of his left middle finger during yesterday’s loss to the Saints.

And put your breakfast down for a second, because the injury was discovered when he took off his glove — and the finger was still in it.

Johnson had surgery last night, and because the bone was exposed, there’s a concern about infection.

There’s no word, however, as to whether Titans owner Bud Adams is on the donor list, depending on how much of the digit Johnson lost.
