Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor was taken to the locker room with close to four minutes left to play in Monday night’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Pryor left the field to return to the locker room with four minutes left to play in the game. He was crushed by Danny Trevathan and Wesley Woodward on a quarterback run on the but remained in the game until Oakland turned the ball over on downs.

Pryor played well for the most part against the Broncos before being forced to the locker room. He completed 19 of 28 passes for 281 yards and a touchdown pass on the night and added 36 yards on four carries on the ground.

Pryor was replaced by Matt Flynn for the Raiders’ final possession of the game.

UPDATE 12:00 a.m. ET: According to Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle, both Pryor and cornerback Tracy Porter sustained concussions in the game.

Pryor lost the football on the play where he supposedly suffered the concussion and the play was reviewed by the officials. Apparently no one from the Raiders staff realized (or maybe just ignored) the signs of concussion for Pryor at the time. He threw two more passes on the next two plays as the drive stalled at the 1-yard line. Players with concussions aren’t supposed to be allowed to keep playing, so it will be curious to see what the fall out may be from Pryor remaining in the game.
