The handling of Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor’s concussion on Monday night has raised some eyebrows, but that hasn’t stopped him from making quick progress through the league’s concussion protocol.

Pryor didn’t practice on Wednesday, but did receive clearance for physical activity. He progressed enough to receive clearance to return to practice on Thursday, albeit in a limited fashion. Scott Bair of CSNBayArea.com reports that Pryor stood on the side without a helmet while watching Matt Flynn take snaps with the first team during the portion of practice that was open to the media.

Pryor will still need to pass one more round of tests to get the green light to take contact, a necessary step for him to get the call on Sunday against Washington. He’s progressing on a track that makes that a real possibility, though, and he’ll likely be on track to start if he is able to do more at practice on Friday.
