The Bears reportedly will have cornerback Charles Tillman for Sunday’s key NFC North matchup at Detroit.
According to Stacey Dales of NFL Network, Tillman, who’s listed as questionable on the injury report with knee and groin ailments, will play against the Lions.
On Friday, coach Marc Trestman said that he was “reasonably optimistic” Tillman would play, according to ChicagoBears.com.
Should he play, Tillman could very well find himself covering Calvin Johnson, whom racked up only eight catches and 106 yards in two games against Chicago a season ago.
The 32-year-old Tillman has 14 tackles and two interceptions this season. He has not missed a start since 2009. Tillman was a limited practice participant on Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday.
