Titans quarterback Jake Locker’s three touchdown passes have the Titans up 24-6 in the third quarter, but his day appears to have come to an early end.

Locker had to be carted off the field after a hit by Muhammad Wilkerson after Locker threw an incomplete pass. Locker’s body twisted as he went down and immediately grabbed his right hip before laying still on the field until trainers got to his side.

Wilkerson hit Locker after he threw the ball, but was not flagged by the officials. It appeared to be close to being on the right side of too late, but we’ve seen flags thrown for similar hits in the past.

The cart was brought out immediately and Locker went to the back. We’ll pass along updates as to exactly what’s wrong once they come down, but it didn’t look good for the Titans’ starting quarterback.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is now in the game for the Titans.

UPDATE 6:13 p.m. ET: The Titans have announced that Locker is being evaluated for a right hip injury.
