Wide receiver Kenny Britt recently shared that he feels this will be his last year with the Titans because the team is treating him the same way they treated tight end Jared Cook before Cook left as a free agent during the offseason.

Britt may not even see out the year, however. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Titans are fielding trade offers for Britt and that they are open to dealing him before the league’s trade deadline on October 29. Schefter adds that the Titans aren’t actively shopping Britt, but they don’t really need to if they are both open to dealing him and hearing from teams that would be interested in acquiring him.

Britt, the 30th overall pick of the 2009 draft, has had a rough first three weeks this season. He’s dropped passes, fractured a rib and seen rookie Justin Hunter get playing time ahead of him on the game-winning drive last weekend. He has five catches for 43 yards overall, continuing a downward trend in his career that started with a serious knee injury early in the 2011 season.

With Britt struggling on the field and headed for free agency, it’s hard to imagine the Titans receiving all that much in a trade. Given how quickly Britt seems to be falling out of the Titans’ plans, however, the prospect of any return might be enough for Tennessee to wind up making a deal.
