A hamstring ailment landed Chargers running back Ryan Mathews on the injury report Friday, but he is probable for Sunday night’s game at Oakland.

According to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune, coach Mike McCoy indicated Mathews was dealing with some tightness.

Mathews leads the Chargers in rushing yards (226) and carries (64) through four games. Danny Woodhead has become the club’s primary receiving threat out of the backfield, catching 20 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns in the last three weeks.

The Chargers (2-2) are two games behind the unbeaten Broncos and Chiefs in the AFC West. San Diego is one game ahead of Oakland, which has lost two games in a row.
