The Saints’ hot start continues.

The Saints scored the game’s first 13 points and never trailed in Sunday’s 26-18 victory at Chicago. They are now 5-0 for the time since 2009, when they won the franchise’s first Super Bowl title. The win also moves the Saints four games ahead of the Falcons and Panthers in the win column, pending Week Five’s results.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees had a sparkling game, completing 29-of-35 passes for 288 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Tight end Jimmy Graham was again stellar, catching 10 passes for 135 yards.

Bears second-year wide receiver Alshon Jeffery had a career game in defeat, catching 10 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown. Overall, Chicago outgained New Orleans 434-347.

However, the Bears were playing from behind throughout, and they could never quite pull even against the powerful Saints, who had a 20-7 halftime lead.

New Orleans travels to 4-1 New England in Week Six. The Bears (3-2) host the 0-5 Giants on Thursday night.
