A day after blocking a field goal that was returned for a pivotal touchdown in their victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, the Indianapolis Colts released defensive tackle Lawrence Guy on Monday.

Now Guy has a new home as the San Diego Chargers claimed him off waivers.

Guy blocked a 48-yard field goal attempt from Steven Hauschka early in the second quarter that Delano Howell returned for a 61-yard touchdown to give the Colts a 14-12 lead over the Seahawks. Guy finished the game with three tackles and a pass defensed.

The Chargers released defensive end Jarius Wynn to make room for Guy on the roster. Guy has appeared in 11 games over the last two seasons for the Colts with 18 tackles and a sack.
