Andre Johnson likely to be a game-time decision

The last thing the Texans offense needs right now is something else to go wrong, but they may be facing a Week Six date with the Rams without wide receiver Andre Johnson.

Johnson is suffering from a hamstring injury that kept him out of practice on Wednesday and coach Gary Kubiak said that he missed the bulk of Thursday’s session as well. Kubiak went on to say that he thinks Johnson will likely be a game-time decision for the game against the Rams.

While rookie DeAndre Hopkins has had his moments through the first five weeks, the prospect of playing without Johnson has to be a scary one for the Texans. Tight end Owen Daniels is already out and quarterback Matt Schaub’s dismal play of late has been very well documented. Even having a limited Johnson on the field to occupy the attention of the St. Louis defense would be a plus for Houston in a week where they really need things to go as easily as possible for their offense.

Johnson last missed a Texans game in Week 16 of the 2011 season.

Schaub will have to do what Brady does…throw the ball to the guys you have and don’t worry about who isn’t there..

Will he also scream, cry, whine, complain, and sulk?

at one point last year, the Texans were 13-1. What has happened to these guys?

11-1 was the best they were. They finished 12-4.

I know what you mean though….

The overall team is still very good! The defense and JJ Watt have been just outstanding. Ben Tate is back to being the RB we thought he was. But when the QB keeps giving the other team points… its hard to win. If we had Johnny Football or Tajh Boyd right now, I have no doubt the Texans would run the Rams out of the building by halftime….

  4. The fans in Houston have killed Schaub, he has made is share fair of mistakes i’ll give them that. but to burn his jersey and blame him for litterally every mistake when he doesn’t even have the ability to make an audible is just lidicrus. He was a great QB and if he stays in Houston he will be nothing more than a dud. He needs a fresh start with fans that arnt gunna jump down his throat everytime he makes a mistake.

  5. This team is a joke.!!! You have a QB throwing pick 6 and an RB that is a china doll. a defense that can not stop anyone.

  6. To all you fantasy football novices you will know the inactives by 11:30 am Sun he plays at 1. So stand tight, or better yet have alternatives.
